Netflix confirmed in July 2026 that Delicious in Dungeon Season 2 will premiere worldwide in October 2027, pairing the announcement with a new key visual and trailer that gave the first real look at where the story picks back up.

It's a long wait relative to how the first season landed — Dungeon Meshi's blend of monster-cooking comedy and genuine dungeon-crawling tension turned it into one of the more talked-about seasonal surprises when it debuted, and a global day-and-date Netflix release helped it build an audience fast. Season 2 keeps that same simultaneous worldwide release model rather than staggering territories.

Studio Trigger returns to animate the continuation, and the premise doesn't need reinvention: Laios, Marcille, Chilchuck, and Senshi are still working their way down through the dungeon, still eating whatever they kill along the way, and the manga's back half has no shortage of monster recipes and lore drops left to adapt.

October 2027 is far enough out that it'll likely slip in and out of the news cycle a few more times before it actually airs, but the confirmed date and finished trailer put this well past speculation — the second season is real, it's coming, and Netflix is treating it as a global event the same way it treated the first.
